Privacy

Short version: your shop’s data stays on your devices. We can’t see it — even with cloud sync on, it’s locked with a key only your devices have.

• Your data lives on your devices. Jobs, customers, invoices, inventory — all of it is stored on your PC (and on your phone, if you use it). There is no account to create, and we never hold a copy we can read.
• No tracking, no analytics on your shop activity. The app doesn’t phone home with what you do inside it.
• When the internet is used: for optional features you trigger — decoding a VIN (NHTSA, a U.S. government source), loading a vehicle photo, sending an appointment to Google Calendar, cloud sync, or checking for updates — and for the license check described below. The optional AI runs locally on your PC (Ollama) — job notes sent to it never leave the machine. Everything else runs fully offline.
• Backups are yours. Daily backups and any file you export are saved by you, where you choose. Keep them somewhere safe.
• License activation and check. When you activate a key — and about once a day after that, to confirm it’s still valid — the app sends only the key itself, a device identifier, your operating system label (for example “Win32”) and the app version to our activation service, which answers with your tier and activation count. Your shop name is not sent, and no customer or job data is ever included. Offline? The app keeps working and checks again later.
• Cloud sync (optional — off until you turn it on). It keeps your shop’s PC, laptop and phone matched over the internet. Your data is encrypted on your device with a secret only your shop’s devices hold, then stored on our sync server (run on Cloudflare). We can’t open it, and neither can Cloudflare. Each sync sends your license key and a device identifier so only your shop’s devices get in. Turn it off on any device at any time — the data on that device stays put.

Terms of use

• Free trial, then a one-time license. Every new copy runs free for 14 days. After that, a license key is needed to keep working — your data stays on your device, and you can still make a backup. You buy the license once and may use it on the devices of the shop it was purchased for. No subscription, no recurring fee.
• Provided “as is.” We work hard to make it reliable, but the software is provided without warranty, and our liability is limited to what you paid for it. You’re responsible for keeping your own backups.
• Your data is your responsibility. Your data stays on your devices, and cloud sync is encrypted so only your shop can read it — which also means we can’t recover data you lose. Please back up regularly.
• Fair use. Don’t resell or redistribute the app itself. Everything you create with it — your invoices, your records — is entirely yours.
• Device limits & transfers. Base covers up to 3 devices, Pro up to 10 — PCs, laptops and phones all count — for the shop that bought it. Replacing a device? Email us and we reset that activation at no charge.
• Updates & support. Updates within Release 1 are included. Email support is answered by a real person, typically within a couple of business days. A future major release may be a paid upgrade — the app you bought keeps working either way.
