Built by a working mechanic

Not by a software company guessing at what a shop needs — by someone who was living it.

ProTech Shop Manager started as one mechanic’s own tool. Running the work on paper, whiteboards and a spreadsheet, then bolting on QuickBooks for the money side, meant the same numbers got written three times and still didn’t agree. The big shop-management platforms did more — but at a monthly bill that never stops, with your customer list living on someone else’s servers.

So it got built the other way around: everything a shop day actually needs — jobs, estimates and invoices, VIN decode, year-accurate engines, scheduling, inventory, analytics, even dyno tools — in one screen, running on the shop’s own PC, working with the internet unplugged.

Other mechanics saw it and wanted it. So it became a product any small shop can own outright: pay once, offline, your data stays yours.

What it stands for

🔑

You own it

One-time purchase, no subscription. It keeps working whether or not we’re around — it’s on your machine.

🔒

Your data stays put

No cloud, no account. Your customers and numbers stay on your shop’s computer — connected extras are optional and send only what that request needs.

🔧

Built for the floor

For mechanics, not accountants. Fast to write a job, quick to get a customer out the door.
