AI Edition — Shop Manager Lite

On the release page, download Shop-Manager-Lite-AI-Release-1-Setup.exe and every Shop-Manager-Lite-AI-Release-1-Setup-*.bin file listed next to it. (GitHub caps single files at 2 GB, so the AI Edition ships in slices — Setup reassembles them.)

Put them in the same folder (Downloads is fine — they usually land there together).

Double-click Setup.exe. It installs per-user — no admin password — and adds Start-menu and desktop shortcuts.

Launch it. The local AI starts quietly in the background with the app; give your first AI estimate ~30–90 seconds on an average shop PC.

What's inside

Every feature	Yes — the exact same app as the other editions, nothing added or removed except the AI engine.
The AI engine	Ollama with the llama3.2:3b model, pre-configured. Runs on your CPU — no gaming graphics card needed.
Privacy	Total. Job notes sent to the AI never leave the PC — the model runs on this machine, not in a cloud.
Cost	The AI is free forever. No key, no account, no per-use billing.
Requirements	Windows 10/11 64-bit, 8 GB RAM recommended for comfortable AI use, ~5 GB free disk.
Best for	Shops that want the AI features working out of the box with zero setup — and zero recurring cost.

Good to know: local AI trades a little speed and polish for being free and private. If you want the sharpest results and don't mind pay-per-use, any edition can also use the Anthropic cloud API — just paste a key in Settings and flip the AI Provider toggle. You can switch between the two anytime.
